Chicago's Maritime History. October 18, 2000 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Finally Chicago's maritime history has a book to explain it. Thoughtfully researched the book combines a magnificent display of rare photo's of Chicago's boating, life saving, lighthouses, yachting and lakefront transformations. A few special sections are: THE EASTLAND incident, the naval history off Chicago's lake front with it's aircraft carrier training photo's. Each photo is defined in detail. This is a must read and view for anyone remotely in love with Chicago and/or it's maritime past. Highly recommended !
